Born with a life-threatening heart condition, Yasmine showed the world what true strength looks like before she could even speak. Through surgeries, hospital rooms, and quiet prayers, she reminded me that even in the darkest times, there’s still light.

I’m Robert Battle, her father. And before I became an author, I was a man fighting my own battles — against pain, poverty, and the cycles I was born into. Yasmine gave me a reason to rewrite my story — and now I’m using that story to uplift others.
